The service sector, responsible for half of Ecuador's GDP and 45 percent of its labor force (1.9 million workers), embraces tourism, transportation, utilities, communications, parcel delivery, and financial services. Such a difference in climate, altitude and culture made it seem like a whole different country.

Basically it's generally wet in the summer and dry during the winter.
